Shake Appeal is proud to announce our next project- a five song, one sided 12" EP by the legendary Dan Melchior.The incomparable Mr. Melchior issues his 3rd offering under the “Das Menace” moniker, and it’s a doozy. With numerous releases on a host of labels including In The Red and Smartguy, and collaborations with fellow English heavyweights Billy Childish and Holly Golightly, Dan shows no sign of slowing down. Full of warm, druggy guitar tones, spooky drum machines and a cover the Ikettes' classic wailer "I'm Blue," this record will sell out fast. Stay tuned for release details.

For our inaugural disc, Shake Appeal is proud to announce the debut release by New Jersey's wildest new teen sensations- Titus Andronicus!! Limited to 500 copies on coal-black vinyl, this is one loud record full of hard-to-pin-down nofi weirdness. The "A" side lands somewhere between the Thermals, The Hunches, and Pure Pop for Now People, while the flip gets a little further out into no man's land. Someone said the Pogues, someone else said Depeche Mode mixed with the Deadly Snakes and some other guy said the Black Lips. You decide (it ain't easy!).

Blistering psych lunacy from Seattle's Tall Birds! Tall Birds features three former members of one of the Northwest's late, great noise makers- the Catheters. With this project, the guys are heading in a decidedly more tuneful, less sludgy direction, with a heavy nod to bands like Love and White Light-era Velvet Underground. Produced by the great Kurt Bloch at Egg Studios in Seattle, this is one big-sounding record. Get 'em while they're hot- 500 on black vinyl.
